Characteristics

Cool-season grass with dark green color; dense, beautiful appearance; medium leaf texture; and excellent leaf uniformity.

All of our sod blends have been blended specifically for Laurel Brook Turf to provide an aggressive and dense sod with good overall color. At least one variety in each blend has been selected for drought tolerance, disease resistance and for shade tolerance. (Though you do need approximately 50% sun for a strong, vigorous lawn.) The aggressiveness of our blends ensures quick recovery from heavy use and abuse. The denseness of the sod helps prevent weeds, therefore requiring less chemicals.

Recommended Use

Widely adapted basic lawn grass of the cool, humid, semi-arid and temperate regions. Recommended for residential and commercial lawns. Also, widely used on sports fields and play areas, parks, cemeteries, commercial lawns, and roadsides.

Temperature Tolerance

Thrives in cool weather and will tolerate very cold winters. Undergoes stress during extremely hot weather, but will maintain good color and appearance if properly watered and cared for.
